2024

  • Consumer Safety Technology brand evolution to Mindr 
  • CST names three executives – CFO, COO, and CPTO – strengthening leadership and supporting accelerated growth plans  
  • CST named Best Place to Work for Working Parents 

2023

  • CST acquires ElectraTect, a groundbreaking THC research and testing startup
  • Intoxalock partnered with the Governors Highway Safety Association on researching alcohol-related behavior and Compliance Based Removal  
  • Intoxalock entered into our 46th state, North Carolina

2022

  • Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe sells Consumer Safety Technology to L Catterton 
  • Service center network exceeds 5,000 so that over 90% of customers are now within 10 miles of a location 
  • Launches CrossCheck InterState Monitoring, the new-to-the-industry way for clients to report to more than one state at a time 
  • Creates National Attorney Advisory Council and National Service Center Advisory Council to support value proposition to our customers 
  • Generates over $50 million dollars for local businesses by partnering with them to service our customers 
  • Stops over 255,000 car start attempts by customers trying to drive over the legal limit 
  • Continued 100% track record of order fulfillment throughout the year despite COVID-related global supply chain challenges 
  • Breaks the 500,000 mark for app downloads

  • Kathy Boden Holland named Chief Executive Officer 
  • Service center network exceeds 4,500 locations

  • Intoxalock won RFP for ignition interlock devices to be an authorized vendor for Harris County Texas Pre-Trial Services Department 
  • Intoxalock opened a secondary Engineering lab in Arizona

  • Intoxalock launched Intoxavisor™, a digital violation analysis tool that helps monitoring authorities more clearly understand if a violation has occurred, saving precious time focused on cases and people

2019

  • Intoxalock introduced the most-downloaded IID mobile app in our industry for our customers, available on Apple and Android devices
  • Intoxalock won RFP for ignition interlock devices to be an authorized vendor in Delaware 
  • Service center network exceeds 3,000 
  • Breathe Easy Insurance Solutions acquired by CST 

2018

  • Intoxalock approved as an authorized ignition interlock device vendor in the states of South Carolina and Michigan 
  • Launched DUI.org, an innovative self-service installation scheduling tool 
  • Intoxalock is once again listed as one of the best places to work in Iowa 

2017

  • Intoxalock introduced revolutionary, first-of-its-kind approach to calibration to ensure data integrity and to allow it to occur at service centers in less than 15 minutes 
  • Intoxalock approved as an authorized ignition interlock device vendor in the states of Virginia, New Mexico, Maryland, and Alaska 
  • Clear Light Partners, LLC sold Intoxalock to Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe 

2016

  • Intoxalock becomes a state approved ignition interlock vendor in Florida 
  • Intoxalock purchases Oklahoma Automotive Safety Systems 
  • Intoxalock launches new Sleep Mode feature to help preserve car battery in cold months 
  • Service center network exceeds 2,000 
  • Intoxalock is ranked as one of Iowa’s best places to work 

2015

  • Began servicing customers in Arizona directly, buying out their distributor, Interlock Arizona 
  • Intoxalock approved as an authorized ignition interlock device vendor in the state of Kentucky 

2014

  • Kimberly Williams appointed CEO of Consumer Safety Technology 
  • Intoxalock acquired over 1,300+ authorized service centers, the most nationwide among ignition interlock providers 
  • Intoxalock eLERT 24 added to our product line to integrate 24-hour monitoring into our advanced technology IID 

2013

  • Intoxalock began servicing customers directly in Washington State, buying out their distributor, Interlock NW 
  • Intoxalock accepts SEMA Global Media Award 

2012

  • Celebrates 20 years in the alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock business 
  • Consumer Safety Technology (CST) DBA Intoxalock, is acquired by Clear Light Partners, LLC 
  • Consumer Safety Technology (CST) begins officially doing business as Intoxalock 

2011

  • Intoxalock Home eLERT added to product line to provide alcohol monitoring at home 

2010

  • Intoxalock eLERT added to product line to provide ignition interlock alcohol monitoring with camera, data reporting and GPS 
  • One of the first in market to have advanced platform: camera, data reporting and GPS, integrated into our online Log Reporter 
  • Intoxalock rolled out automated gas calibration to allow service centers to quickly calibrate devices on-site 

2009

  • Online Log Reporter developed for monitoring authorities to check user data logs online in a secure environment 
  • Intoxalock was one of the founding members of the Coalition of Ignition Interlock Manufacturers

1992

  • Consumer Safety Technology installed its first ignition interlock device 

1988

  • In conjunction with researchers at Iowa State University, Consumer Safety Technology, LLC (CST) developed the Intoxalock using alcohol-specific fuel cell technology in 1992. Intoxalock was the first car breathalyzer device in the country to use this cutting-edge technology, which is now an ignition interlock industry standard.
